i still can’t find any good free hosting.

here’s the deal, i posted my portbinding shellcode first for practice here..

and i figured, “what the heck”, i’ll create another page where i can put my journal on other matters too!

  1. Your grub article refers to the byte at label :mode as a “lba marker”. I’m trying to find out what it does, but apparently it does not get read in stage1.S and only written. /etc/magic refers to the jump instruction, the nop, and this byte to determine an x86 boot sector as using grub.

    As far as I understood it from reading builtins.c this byte is copied from the old boot sector contents, so this could be anything and grub should still work, right?
